(AOT) for the new Suvarnabhumi International Airport (BKK) that opened in September 2006. L&B’s services included:
- Overall system design
- Tender and system installation support
- Setup and train noise office staff and provide on-going support
The system requirements, designed during the First Phase of the project, included the evaluation of potential locations for permanent noise monitoring stations, preparing the technical specifications for the system, and advising AOT staff about the systems available to them.
During the Second Phase of the project, the Consultancy Team provided assistance by reviewing vendor proposals for the tender process. Once a vendor was selected, the Consultancy Team assisted in the supervision of system installation, testing, and commissioning.
The Third, and final Phase of the project included designing the noise office layout, on-site training of AOT staff, establishing noise office policies and procedures, and preparing training manuals. L&B has continued to provide on-going support to AOT noise office team through 2012 including supplemental training and consultancy services.
