Project Description
Melbourne Airport
Client: Australia Pacific Airports (Melbourne)
To amalgamate Melbourne Airport’s terminals into a seamless experience, L&B was contracted to work on the T3 Integration Project, involving terminal and airfield planning projects across a series of contracts and spanning multiple phases of development.
The first of which, the Pier F extension, was completed in 2017. This rejuvenated pier now houses boarding gates and queue ranks for low-cost carrier Tiger Airways. Apron-level gates facilitate both front and rear-door boarding with passenger amenities to suit the appropriate level of service.
With an overarching presence in multiple phases of development, L&B’s involvement allowed for the future-proofing of this pier for continuous development at a later stage.
