Project Description
Energy and Sustainability Master Plan
Client: Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG)
L&B was part of a team that developed an Energy and Sustainability Master Plan that includes recommendations for CVG to achieve energy reduction, reduced carbon emissions, waste reduction, and water-use reduction, through enhanced land management, vehicle and equipment transitions, and sustainable design and construction practices. In addition, the Plan includes CVG’s continued commitment to enhancing the human experience through programs and initiatives for passengers, employees, and surrounding communities.
As detailed in its New Heights Strategic Plan, CVG is committed to continuous improvement of its sustainability performance through programs and initiatives that support their vision for economic viability, operational efficiency, natural resource conservation, and social responsibility. This Plan serves to assist CVG in achieving sustainability goals and aligning with the Airport Council International’s (ACI) airport industry goal of Net Zero Carbon by 2050 by providing a roadmap for an efficient, practical, cost-effective, and robust energy reduction implementation strategy.
