Comprehensive Sustainability Plan
Client: City of Charlotte, North Carolina
L&B was part of the team that led the development of a Comprehensive Sustainability Plan for Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT), which was the first effort of its kind for this airport. The Plan aligns CLT’s future goals with City and State goals, as well as integrates environmental sustainability into CLT’s planning, design, construction, operations, and maintenance activities. Major tasks in the development of the Plan included:
- Stakeholder engagement
- Sustainability Baseline Assessment
- Develop Goals and Targets and recommend actions to achieve Goals and Targets
- Implementation Plan and Monitoring Program
- Public participation and community outreach, tailored to the needs of the Airport and the community
